Built to the standard 40 x 80 x 30.2 mm envelope, the 5208 is a double row angular contact bearing running silicon nitride ceramic balls in steel raceways. The two ball rows sit at opposing 30 degree contact angles, so a single bearing takes radial load, axial load in either direction, and the tilting moments that would otherwise force a paired single-row arrangement.
Ceramic rolling elements bring three practical gains here: higher limiting speed from the lower ball mass, lower running temperature from reduced friction, and electrical isolation of the shaft from the housing.
It suits industrial gearboxes, process and slurry pumps, marine deck equipment and food processing lines. Seal and shield options, cage material and clearance class are specified at order; full ceramic construction is available where the application rules out steel rings entirely. Ortech Ceramics is ISO 9001:2015 certified and manufactures to print, so non-standard bores, widths, contact angles and material pairings can be quoted from your drawing.
